The Role
1. Reporting directly to the MD/owner.
2. Designing for the manufacture of loudspeaker cabinets using CAD software.
3. Programming CNC routing machines.
4. Producing accurate and timely quotes for customers based on design specifications and production costs.
5. Overseeing the maintenance and servicing of machinery, including managing outsourced maintenance services.
6. Designing and implementing jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and consistency.
7. Providing day-to-day guidance and support to workshop operatives on manufacturing procedures.
8. Leading new product introductions from prototyping to production.
9. Ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety legislation and promoting a culture of safety across the team.
The Candidate
1. Experience with AlphaCam is desirable.
2. Relevant engineering qualifications: BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
4. Proficiency in producing CAD drawings for manufacturing, especially AutoCAD.
5. Experience with CAM software and creating CNC programs.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset.
7. Background in woodworking or wood-based manufacturing is desirable.
