Do you want progression in our Radiography career? We're recruiting on behalf of Northern Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Band 6 Radiographer. This is a great opportunity to join the trust, where you will be responsible for undertaking MRI Scanning duties across all sites (Antrim Area Hospital and Causeway Hospital). The role: Deliver a consistently caring, respectful, and compassionate service while upholding the HSC values of Working Together, Excellence, Openness and Honesty. Perform all duties with a strong focus on patient safety, infection prevention and control, and adherence to health and safety regulations. Maintain regular attendance and complete assigned tasks efficiently, in compliance with Trust policies including Smoke Free and Equal Opportunities. Ensure high standards of personal work and contribute effectively as a team member, offering guidance to junior staff within the MRI team. Conduct MRI scanning at Antrim Hospital or other Northern Trust locations as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times. Foster effective working relationships and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives through professional collaboration. Follow professional codes of conduct (SOR, HPC, and HSC), ensure equipment safety, and undertake additional duties as directed by the Departmental Manager. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential: Qualifications and Registration Possession of a degree or diploma in Radiography. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) or equivalent qualification in intravenous (IV) cannulation. Experience A minimum of two years' post-qualification experience in Diagnostic Radiography. At least one year's experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Desirable: PGCert in MRI. Technical Proficiency Demonstrable experience in MRI scanning using GE Optima 450W 1.5T and Siemens Sola scanners. Sound knowledge of MRI imaging techniques and the role of the radiographer within MRI. Work Flexibility and Commitment Willingness and ability to participate in flexible working patterns, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays across the Northern Health and Social Care Trust.
