You’ll play a key role in areas such as Trust-wide resuscitation trolley equipment provision, Equipment Library operations, and technical support within weekly respiratory clinic settings. Regular weekend working is part of the role.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), servicing, inspection and repair on a range of non-complex to moderately complex medical devices
* Perform routine fault-finding, using appropriate diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve issues
* Support the safe condemnation and disposal of medical devices
* Conduct acceptance testing for new and loaned equipment before clinical use
* Assist with the rollout of newly accepted devices into clinical areas
* Contribute to Trust-wide resuscitation equipment schemes to ensure readiness and compliance

Qualifications
* Level 4 qualification e.g. HNC/D in Electrical/Mechanical/Medical Engineering or equivalent. Candidates with the lower qualification would be taken on via Annex 21 in a training role to reach this minimum level

* Contribute to the Clinical Engineering services of MEMD including planned maintenance, repair, acceptance and condemnation

* Experience of maintenance and repairs of a comprehensive range of complex and moderately complex medical electrical/electronic/mechanical devices
