KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors.Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor Location: Centre based – with occasional home workingSalary: £35,000 pro rata depending on hoursType: Part Time, Permanent Duties:
* To plan and deliver Functional Skills Maths and English to Apprentice learners, delivering on a 1:1 and group basis.
* Assist with the design and development of the Functional Skills curriculum, adhering to bespoke learner needs and awarding body standards.
* Conduct initial and diagnostic assessments via BKSB, to identify learner needs, and ensuring their targets are logged on their ILP.
* The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
* Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
* The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realise their potential.
* Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.
Essential Criteria:
* Must have experience of delivering Functional Skills English and Maths.
* Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching qualification (or above).
* Experience of delivering on a 1:1 and group basis.
* Must hold own Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths (or GCSE equivalents).
* Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
* Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
