Sous Chef - Part Time Weekends
Berry Recruitment is seeking a hard‑working, reliable and organised Sous Chef to join our client based in Sittingbourne.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily kitchen operations, lead the team as second in command in the Head Chef's absence, and ensure high-quality food standards.
* Help to supervise, mentor staff
* Deliver high-quality food using fresh, local produce
* Support the Head Chef
* Cook to menu usually traditional British fare
* Preparing fresh food made from seasonal, local ingredients. Information and controls
* Maintain excellent health, hygiene and food safety standards
* Stock taking, ordering and stock rotation if required
* Cost controls and waste management
Qualifications
* A hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are all essential for this role.
Pay Rate
£15.00 per hour
Location
Due to limited public transport, having your own transport is ideal.
