Job Summary:
The Global Training Program Manager Cargo is responsible for developing and executing training strategies for prioritized business initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of training methodologies, strong project management skills, and expertise in deploying programs across multiple locations worldwide.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Own the global end-to-end learning process from analysis, design and development, delivery, feedback, evaluation and impact measurement of prioritized training initiatives and programs
2. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the overall business and training strategies, objectives, regulations, roadmaps and scope for the project implementation, including key Transformation and Operations Teams
3. Develop and maintain training project plans, including budget, timelines, milestones and resource allocation
4. Design a blended learning approach that incorporates various training methods, including instructor-led trainings, e-learning modules, video demonstrations, train-the-trainers, job aids, evaluations, and knowledge retention mechanisms
5. Work with Swissport instructional designers and learning organizations and third party providers to develop and execute training programs and workshops
6. Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling sessions, securing training venues or virtual platforms, managing participant registrations and tracking and reporting training progress, attendance and completion
7. Lead train-the-trainers with identified regional trainers/super users to equip them with the necessary content, knowledge and confidence needed to lead the implementation and training of initiatives and programs within their areas of responsibility
8. Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for all identified groups, both in person and through virtual platforms
9. Track key metrics and business performance to evaluate efficacy and impact of programs and learner experiences, and implement necessary continuous improvement enhancements
10. Keep abreast of current trends in adult learning methodologies, training development and delivery methods
Translate training and related documentation for worldwide deployments
Qualifications and Competencies:
11. 8+ years of previous experience in Learning, TM/OD and/or HR
12. Proven experience as a training program manager, or similar role in large-scale training and talent management projects
13. Aviation industry is essential, cargo import / export training experience
14. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities and large, multi-year projects to ensure budgets, schedules and performance criteria are met
15. Excellent training facilitation and presentation skills, both in person and virtually
16. Proficiency in instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
17. Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems
Strong communication skills, with the ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personality types at all levels of the organization
Customer centric, identifying and anticipating customer requirements, expectations and needs
Strong attention to detail and able to grasp the big picture
Change management knowledge and experience is highly desirable
Experience in aviation, operations, transportation, manufacturing, or service industry is preferred
Full proficiency in English is a must. Other languages, such as Spanish, German or French, are a plus
