Position: Learning & Development Manager (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Manchester (With Hybrid Working Available)
Salary Guide: £60,000 - £65,000 Plus Car/Allowance and Excellent Benefits
Our client is a leading Engineering Contractor which operates throughout the UK delivering projects within the water sector and they have a new opportunity for an Learning and Development Manager for their Head Office near Manchester with hybrid working available.
This is a 12 months fixed term contract position to cover maternity leave.
As L&D Manager, you will manage the Learning and Development function and lead on key initiatives and projects across the business while undertaking daily tasks and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Head of People your responsibilities will include:
Key responsibilities:
Lead and deliver on key business wide L&D projects. Current projects include Onboarding, Talent and Succession and Career Pathways.
Work with HR Business Partners to ensure all projects are managed successfully and rolled out across all regions effectively.
Manage the Annual Performance Review Process (Let's Talk) and develop annual training plan for approval and delivery by the L&D team.
Manage relationships with key training providers, education institutions and professional bodies ensuring quality content and training.
Develop and deliver training sessions across a variety topics including delivering Building Connections.
Lead on Early Careers Strategy and oversee management of Graduate and Apprenticeship programmes by L&D Advisor.
Have accountability, responsibility and management of ECITB and Apprenticeship Levy.
Manage the Learning Management System and other training platforms.
Provide updates and reports to others in the People team, SLT and wider business.
Responsible for advising the business of any legislative or best practice changes within Learning and Development and ensure all processes and policies are kept up to date.
Manage the L&D Advisor and Administrator.
Develop internal communication campaigns for L&D events and initiatives.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Experience of developing and delivering on L&D projects
Knowledge of Early Programmes, Apprenticeship Levy, ECITB Levy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation / delivery skills
Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Work and PowerPoint skills
CIPD qualification (Desirable)
Experience within the construction industry (Desirable)
