A secondary school in Newcastle is seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join the pastoral team immediately. This is a structured school with clear expectations, strong senior leadership presence and established behaviour systems. The role focuses on proactive support rather than reactive crisis management. The Role You will: Provide targeted support for pupils with SEMH needs Work 1:1 and in small groups with students at risk of exclusion Support reintegration into mainstream lessons De-escalate situations using calm and consistent strategies Liaise with pastoral leads and SENCO Monitor behaviour plans and report progress You will act as a key adult for identified pupils, promoting accountability and positive routines.
