About the Role: We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex and profound needs in a specialist school setting.
Many of the children you will work with require communication support and sensory-based learning.
Examples of the needs you may support include: Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Sensory impairments (visual and hearing) Non-verbal communication, including PECS, Makaton, AAC, and sensory cues As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and care staff to help pupils engage with learning through sensory exploration, routine, and personalised support, ensuring each child feels safe, valued, and understood.
