Location: Armthorpe, Doncaster
Pay rate: £14.00 per hour - Weekly or Monthly pay available
Shift pattern: 30 hours per week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday(Term time) - 7:30am - 10:00am & 14:30pm - 19:00pm
Wednesday (Term time) - 7:30am - 19:00pm
Monday - Friday - 7:30am - 19:00pm
Saturday - 9:00am - 17:00pm
Sunday - 9:0am - 15:00pm
You must have a Full UK Manual Drivers License and be over 21 to drive the person we supports Mobility Van.
We are looking for a warm, reliable and attentive Female Support Worker to join our team supporting a sociable, fun-loving 22-year-old woman with complex health needs. She lives at home with her parents, siblings and friendly pet dog, so youll be joining a lively, welcoming household.
She loves sensory play, pamper sessions, girlie time, and getting out and about for activities. Although non-verbal, she communicates through facial expressions once you get to know her.
Who Youll Be Supporting
She has a number of health needs, and youll receive full training to support her safely and confidently. These include:
Severe Epileptic Encephalopathy (vagal nerve stimulator in situ but no longer functioning)
Learning disability
Hypotonic dystonic spasms
Gastrostomy and fundoplication
Scoliosis (spinal rod surgery)
Registered blind limited vision, responds to light
Requires oral suction
Full support with all aspects of daily living
What We're Looking For
Wed love to hear from you if you are:
A driver aged 21+ who can drive a manual mobility van
You must not be restricted to the amount of hours you can work
Compassionate, patient and person-centred
Comfortable working 1:1
Confident supporting someone with complex health needs (training provided)
Able to read and respond to non-verbal communication
Comfortable working in a busy family home
Happy to get involved in sensory activities, pampering and community outings
Reliable & Observant
Comfortable and Confident communicating with emergency services
