The teamisresponsible forshapinganddriving the execution of the Divisional-level Investment Portfolio for Corporate & Institutional Banking. As part of this, we work closely with keyProduct, Coverageand Platform leaders, Investment Management and Finance to build, manage,deliverand report on a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring that they achieve our customer & shareholder commitments.

This role will work closely with ourProduct, Coverage andPlatformteamsto support the delivery of the2030North Starby ensuring a strong linkage between our investment, delivery,benefitsand value drivers to support effective decision making to achieve our stated customer, financial and risk outcomes.
About the role
We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive Strategic Portfolio Manager who can help deliver our ambitious strategy, aligned to our Purpose of Helping Britain Prosper. This isa great opportunityfor someone with excellent strategy, financial, analytical and stakeholder management skills, who has an eye on the bigger picture and is up for the challenge of working on a complex programme that will drivesignificant changeacross our business.
The role willprovide an excellent development opportunity for someonewho is bold,curiousand comfortable converting ambiguity into clear plans for execution!
This role will have a focus on:
1. Supporting overall delivery of the CIB strategic portfolio through working closely withProduct, Coverage, Platform,FinanceandInvestment Management teams
2. Shaping the CIB investment portfolio strategyaligned with CIB’s North Star strategic directionthrough analysis of pain points and opportunities for growth, efficiencyopportunitiesand improved ways of working
3. Defining what resources and capabilities CIB willrequireto unlock the next stage of our ambitious growth strategy
4. SupportingCIB’sNorth Starproductivityambitions including our use of AI&Robotic Process Automationto unlock capacity and drive further growth
What we need from you:
5. A strategic thinker, whocan assimilateinformation into clear and precise recommendations and stories
6. Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
7. Strong financial acumen, with the ability to join the dots
8. Track recordin delivering projects/propositions efficiently and collaborating with cross-functional teams
9. Demonstrate strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to undertake valuable analysis and present findings to senior audiences clearly and concisely
10. Commercially minded, with good understanding of business drivers of performance
11. Comfortable managingambiguity while prioritisingmultiple priorities andidentifyingkey risks,dependenciesand mitigations
12. Exposure to skills from multiple subject areas such asoperatingmodeldesign,digital delivery, portfolio management
13. Knowledge of Commercial Banking / CIB products / COO / CIB/AIplatforms is preferable, but not essential
