An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Safer Communities Coordinator to join our Safer Communities Team.
The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a core team to support the management, development and co-ordination of the Safer Communities working arrangements, providing appropriate support, advice, and guidance to ensure the effective operation of work streams including the Safer Together Partnership and associated engagement programmes and to ensure the statutory requirements of the Crime and Disorder Act are met.
It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of working in a community safety environment. They must have experience, or a sound understanding of, inter agency working, community safety and the third sector. They will be educated to NVQ Level 3, including English and Maths or able to demonstrate an equivalent level or have substantial experience of working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate their skills and knowledge gained. A full drivers’ licence is essential with access to business insurance.
The role is office based, with flexibility to support effective service delivery, including home working. Working 37 hours per week the successful candidate must be flexible, as some occasional evening and weekend working may be required.
