Pay: £100 £130 per day (PAYE no umbrella deductions)
Job Description:
We are currently recruiting for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work within a Secondary School in Northampton (NN4), starting as soon as possible.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to students in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with their learning. This role does not require planning or marking, but strong classroom management and communication skills are essential.
The school is supportive and welcoming, with a strong focus on maintaining high expectations and positive behaviour throughout. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in teaching, experienced teaching assistants looking to progress, or individuals with previous experience working with young people.
Key Requirements:
Experience working with secondary-aged students (school-based experience desirable)
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to follow lesson plans and ensure students remain on task
Strong communication and organisational skills
Two satisfactory references covering the last two years
Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
