Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

About the Role
We are looking for a caring, patient, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team in Wellingborough. The successful candidate will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, adapting learning materials and strategies to meet each child’s specific needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN.
* Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
* Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and positive learning attitudes.
* Assist with classroom preparation and general learning support.

Experience and Qualifications
* Experience: Previous experience supporting children with SEN is essential.
* Qualification: Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
* Skills: Empathy, patience, flexibility, and the ability to build positive relationships with children and colleagues.
