Waste Digital Development Officer Salary - £30,024 - £33,699 (Grade 5) Hours - 37 hours per week, typically Monday to Thursday 7.00am – 3.00pm. Friday 7.00am – 2.30pm. Location – Any suitable location within the City of Wolverhampton. The role is based at Hickman Avenue Waste Depot. and also covers Anchor Lane and Shaw Road Household Waste & Recycling Centres and Crown Street Waste Transfer Station. Contract Type - Full time, Permanent. A full valid UK driving licence is required for this position. The City of Wolverhampton Council is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Waste and Recycling Digital Development Officer to join our dynamic and hardworking team. The primary focus is to provide day to day technical support for members of the waste services team, working with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance standard operating practices. Key responsibilities include actively contributing to research and development to make the best use of available digital technology; identify and support the implementation of automation opportunities; ensure that data held on systems is correct and up to date; deliver system training to officers and drivers. From a technical perspective, you will have experience / knowledge of Information Management, CRM, cyber security, development and testing and Information Governance. The ability to drive a works vehicle is required to support operatives in the field and at waste sites. Role requirements: 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths at a minimum grade C or above, or equivalent qualification, or relevant equivalent experience ICT or Business Admin qualification The successful candidate will have previous office experience; a good knowledge of excel; the ability to analyse data; be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines; have a willingness to undertake training and continuous professional development. Being adaptable is key to dealing with the challenges of delivering a fast moving and essential service which is customer focussed. Experience of Waste Management Systems, Microsoft Dynamics, Telematics and Power BI systems would be advantageous.
