Role Purpose
Notts County Football Club is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Venue Executive to support the Events and Sales, and Commercial teams in delivering exceptional matchday hospitality and non-matchday events at the Meadow Lane stadium.
This is a pivotal, hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of events. You will be the primary point of contact for non-matchday clients and will oversee event planning, room setup, staffing, and on-the-day delivery to ensure consistently high standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the sales coordination and delivery of non-matchday events, including weddings, birthdays, wakes, proms, and other celebrations.
* Take a hands-on role in matchday hospitality operations at Meadow Lane, alongside the Food and Beverage Manager.
* Create and manage detailed event proposals, including timelines, room layouts, catering requirements, and bespoke client requests.
* Act as the main point of contact for clients following confirmation of bookings by the commercial and sales team.
* Work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to rota staff for both matchday and non-matchday events within the catering department.
* Manage, brief, and train event staff, ensuring excellent customer service standards at all times.
* Conduct new starter inductions, manage staff paperwork, and accurately monitor working hours to support payroll processing.
* Develop a strong understanding of the Notts County FC commercial portfolio and venue offering.
* Take responsibility as a keyholder for the stadium.
* Carry out regular room set-ups and breakdowns for events.
* Ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation, including regular line cleaning.
* Maintain excellent standards across all function rooms.
* Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.
Technical Specification
* Excellent communication and IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to demonstrate excellent product knowledge.
* A solid understanding of conferencing and events operations.
* Professional, enthusiastic, and client-focused approach.
Person Specification
* Previous experience in the hospitality and/or events industry.
* A strong appreciation for quality service and attention to detail.
* Outstanding administrative and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly during business-critical periods.
* Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends, in line with the nature of the role.
* Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and GDPR, particularly when handling personal and sensitive data.
