Salary: £37,500 - £40,000 depending on experience
Summary:
We seek an energetic, driven Transport Planner, with pallet network experience to join a dynamic logistics business in a period of growth, where opportunities for development are vast.
This role is working Monday - Friday, 5am - 3pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the transport planning operation to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective deliveries.
Allocate resources, organise schedules and ensure that robust planning is in place to meet service level agreements.
Ensure compliance to legislative requirements including Drivers' Hours and WTD regulations.
Work closely with the team of Drivers, conducting briefs and de-briefs, managing their workloads, and resolving any driver queries.
Ongoing focus on continuous improvement and constantly strive to improve operational efficiencies and fleet performance.
Liaise with the wider team to support transport activities and ensure that an excellent service is delivered to customers.
Key Skills/Experience:
Previous experience in a planning role within a fast-paced transport operation.
Knowledge of UK road transport regulations.
Previous experience working for The Pallet Network is particularly desirable for this role.
Good IT skills including use of Excel and transport management systems.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High levels of organisation, able to balance and prioritise workloads.
