THE COMPANY
This is one of the UK's fastest-growing names in homeware and furniture. Over the last few years the business has expanded rapidly, growing its customer base, broadening its product offer and continuing to take market share in a competitive sector. Strong customer retention and repeat purchasing have helped fuel continued growth, creating a stable platform for future expansion.
Furniture has become a major part of that success story, with Living Room and Dining Room categories now representing a significant proportion of the overall business. As the furniture division continues to grow in both scale and importance, the business is investing further in its merchandising capability.
You'll be joining an established merchandising function, reporting into the Head of Merchandising and lead a small team, with the opportunity to influence both day-to-day trading decisions and longer-term category strategy.
THE ROLE
You'll own the end-to-end merchandising strategy across key furniture categories, balancing sales, stock, margin and availability while supporting the continued growth of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing WSSI, forecasting and OTB
* Owning weekly trading reviews and stock performance
* Delivering clear, actionable reporting and commercial insight
* Identifying opportunities to improve sales, margin and stock turn
* Building markdown, clearance and promotional plans
* Managing end-to-end stock flow across your categories
* Supporting budget planning, option counts and depth of buy decisions
* Working closely with Buying, Finance and the wider business to deliver category plans
* Leading and developing a team of two direct reports within a wider team of six
ABOUT YOU
You'll be operating at Merchandiser level and be comfortable owning a category, making commercial decisions and influencing stakeholders across the business. You're naturally analytical and confident turning data into actions. WSSI is second nature and you're just as comfortable discussing strategy as you are getting into the detail of stock, sales and forecasting.
THE REWARD
This is an opportunity to join a business that's investing in growth rather than standing still. You'll take ownership of categories that sit at the heart of the business, lead a talented team and work closely with senior decision-makers who genuinely value merchandising input. If you're looking for a role where you can influence strategy, develop people and help shape the future of a growing homeware brand, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
Hybrid working 3 days office, 2 home. Salary negotiable depending on experience.
