JOB DESCRIPTION

About Us

We're an established but growing digital agency that designs, builds, and maintains websites and web applications for clients across multiple industries. Alongside delivering new website builds, we run an expanding Maintenance function dedicated to keeping our clients' sites secure, reliable, and evolving with their needs.

This role is focused on leading the Maintenance side of the business — which is currently a small team of designers and developers — and helping it grow into a larger, more structured function over time. You'll be joining at a point where there's huge potential to shape how we support clients at scale.

The Role

You'll manage ongoing website maintenance and small-scale projects for our clients, ensuring work is well-organised, delivered on time, and communicated clearly. You'll run day-to-day operations for the Maintenance team, acting as the main client contact and the link between design, development, and leadership.

Small projects may include larger features, new sections of an existing site, or compact new websites (e.g. campaign or event sites).

While you'll start with a small, tight-knit team, we're looking for someone senior enough to take ownership now and to help us grow the function into something bigger.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Maintenance team, ensuring smooth day-to-day delivery.

• Manage and oversee scheduled maintenance tasks for client websites.

• Respond to, triage, and clarify reported issues and bugs, assigning tasks to design, development, and QA as needed.

• Collect new feature requests, define scope and budget, and manage delivery.

• Run daily stand-ups with the team and weekly client meetings.

• Write clear proposals, estimates, and documentation.

• Manage budgets and provide regular reporting to clients and the leadership team.

• Oversee small projects such as new website sections, larger features, or compact campaign sites.

• Help establish and improve processes for Maintenance as it grows.

What We're Looking For

• Strong people skills — excellent communicator with both clients and internal teams.

• Client-facing experience, with the ability to gather requirements, manage expectations, and build strong relationships.

• Solid understanding of web development and technology, with curiosity and ability to expand knowledge.

• Good technical knowledge of WordPress and general web development.

• Ability to diagnose or discuss technical issues with clients without over-relying on developers.

• Experience managing maintenance boards and tools such as Jira, Trello, DoneDone, or similar.

• Highly organized, proactive, and able to work autonomously.

• Leadership mindset, with the potential to help shape the company's processes and future.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and other aspects of web marketing.

• Experience with QA processes, testing, and accessibility standards.

• Familiarity with design tools to help clarify requirements.

• Experience managing tasks and budgets across multiple simultaneous projects.

• Understanding of hosting, DNS, and other web infrastructure basics.

Why Join Us?

• Chance to lead the Maintenance side of the business and help shape how it grows.

• Work with a collaborative, remote-first team (with an office available if you prefer).

• Be client-facing and see the direct impact of your work.

• Join an ambitious digital agency where your role will expand as we scale.
