About The Role
This position is ideal for a confident assistant accountant who is comfortable managing accounts payable, supporting accounts receivable, and maintaining smooth financial operations day-to-day. You’ll act as a key point of contact across the business, applying the sharp eye of a bookkeeper and the hands‑on support of a reliable finance assistant.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately process supplier invoices and prepare payment runs
* Reconcile bank, Stripe, PayPal and GoCardless transactions
* Maintain customer accounts, send statements, and carry out credit control
* Reconcile inter‑company transactions and investigate discrepancies
* Support stakeholders with queries in a professional, proactive manner
* Assist with regular financial reporting and general finance admin
What We’re Looking For
* Strong background as an assistant accountant, bookkeeper, or finance assistant
* Experience using Xero in a similar role
* Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work independently
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
* A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with great attention to detail
Hours & Flexibility
16 hours per week across 2 days (with school‑hour‑friendly options or 4 half days available for the right person).
