An opportunity has become available to work within the CAMHS urgent care pathway for Forward Thinking Birmingham.
The team works with young adults under 18 within our urgent care pathway. It consists of Consultants, Lead nurses, senior mental health practitioners, and support workers.
The team operates across the city to offer specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for young adults in Birmingham. We are excited to be opening the first-ever Psychiatry Decisions Unit (PDU) with a place of safety in a new building.
This is an exciting post for a mental health nurse. We are an innovative team, always exploring new and dynamic ways of working.

* Completing assessments of young people's mental health and developing individual care plans
* Developing and implementing robust risk management plans
* Ensuring the physical wellbeing of young people in the HBPOS
* Representing the service at professional meetings and stakeholder events
* Liaising with families and carers
* Managing mental health act processes and documentation
* Supporting crisis and home treatment teams as needed
