Stoke-on-Trent’s Adult Learning Disability Team currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Social Worker. We are a well-established team who supports adults through a strengths based approach and a range of short term and long term interventions, with varying levels of complexity. We are looking for resilient individuals who are passionate about advocating a good quality of life for adults with learning disabilities and their families, with a keen interest in promoting independence and wellbeing. You will approach situations in a creative and pragmatic way, supporting individuals to find solutions, focusing on strengths and options available in the community. As a Social Worker you will be expected to hold a caseload, undertake assessments, support planning, review and case management to support adults with a learning disability ensuring that they, their families/carers and the people important to them are supported to live a fulfilled life. You will also be expected to progress to more complex case work including preparing for the court arena and completion of S42 enquiries. You will receive professional supervision and be working in a team of high performing, dedicated and most importantly, friendly colleagues.
