Salary: £28,000 £9 shift allowance per worked day About the Role We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Returns and Quality Control Lead to join our warehouse operations in Fradley Park, Lichfield. Youll play a key role in overseeing the returns process, ensuring quality standards are upheld, and leading a small team to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Returns Processing: Oversee end-to-end handling of returned products, from inspection to restocking. Implement and uphold quality control standards on all returned merchandise. Team Leadership: Lead and guide a team of returns specialists, providing coaching and support. Monitor and drive team performance, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction targets are met. Customer Experience: Liaise with customer service teams to resolve return-related issues. Ensure smooth and professional communication to deliver a seamless customer journey. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records of returns. Identify recurring issues or trends in returned products and report discrepancies to warehouse management. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline the returns process and reduce related costs. Recommend and implement industry best practices for efficiency and accuracy. Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on return volumes, reasons, and cost impacts. Use return metrics to provide data-driven insights for operational improvement. What Were Looking For Essential Experience & Education: 3 to 5 years warehouse/distribution centre experience. 2 to 3 years' experience in returns processing, customer service, or warehouse operations. GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (grades AC). Preferred Experience: Prior leadership experience in a returns or quality control role. Experience with warehouse systems and equipment. Background in fashion/apparel logistics is a plus. Technical Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) intermediate level. Competence in inventory and returns processing systems. Strong communication, numeracy, and analytical skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Personal Attributes: Self-motivated and highly organised.
