Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Support Worker to join our Primary Care team at HMP Belmarsh, a category‑A prison located in London.
Hours
Monday‑Friday 09:00‑17:00, with flexibility required for 12‑hour shifts.
Salary
Up to £53,000, depending on experience.

Main Duties
* Carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review care plans, and develop treatment options.
* Assess patients’ health needs, conduct risk assessments and use sound clinical knowledge.
* Provide advice, support and information while managing a case load of patients.
* Deliver non‑judgmental care that makes a real difference.
* Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects, liaising with prescribers as required.
* Forge strong links with partners and stakeholders to inspire excellence.

Qualifications Required
* SWE registered social worker
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Experience working face‑to‑face with patients who have complex mental health conditions
* Experience in psychosocial interventions, group work and awareness of substance misuse
Candidate requirements: Legal right to work in the UK, subject to additional vetting and security checks.
