We are seeking an experienced and motivated Placement Officer (Children’s) to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people in care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond positively and professionally to referrals made by Social Workers.
* Source and secure appropriate placements that meet the assessed needs of children and young people.
* Ensure all placements comply with safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare standards.
* Maintain accurate and timely records of placement activity.
* Build strong relationships with providers and key stakeholders across health, education, and voluntary/community sectors.
* Operate within a complex multi-agency environment, including collaboration with District and Borough Councils, and the independent sector.
About You:
* Proven experience in Children’s Social Care or equivalent.
* Previous experience in children’s brokerage is essential.
* Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Exceptionally organised, with a proactive and solution-focused approach to workload.
* Skilled in multi-agency working and stakeholder engagement.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and placement regulations.
* Committed to delivering high-quality services that place the needs of the child at the centre.
