Senior Test Development EngineerFrontier Resourcing are partnering with a leading defence and national security organisation, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies within a highly innovative engineering environment.This role is ideal for an experienced Test Development Engineer looking to play a key role in the design, development, and support of advanced test solutions across complex electronic systems.You will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and lifecycle support of test equipment at board, subsystem, and system level.With a strong focus on R&D and emerging technologies, this position offers excellent scope to further develop your technical expertise while working on highly sophisticated aerospace and defence projects.The RoleDesign and develop functional test equipment for complex electronic systemsLead and support hardware and software integration activitiesTroubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and system-level issuesProvide production and lifecycle support, including obsolescence managementCollaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust and scalable test solutionsProduce and maintain high-quality technical documentationLead design reviews and support transition into productionRequired ExperienceProven experience developing test solutions, not solely executing test programmesStrong knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit designExcellent hardware fault-finding and troubleshooting skillsExperience supporting and debugging system integration activitiesAbility to produce comprehensive technical documentationExperience managing design handover into production environmentsTest software development experienceDesirable ExperienceMentor Graphics schematic capture and PCB layout toolsPXI and LXI-based test architecturesMeasurement uncertainty and its application in test equipment validationExperience with NI LabVIEW, NI CVI, NI TestStand, or C#Mixed-signal circuit design experienceWhat's on offerExcellent salary and benefits package - including a generous welcome bonus!Competitive relocation support package available for candidates moving closer to siteCondensed 4-day working week (Monday–Thursday) - long 3-day weekend every weekContributary pension scheme with up to 10.5% company contributionOpportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace and defence technologiesSecurity ClearanceCandidates must be eligible to undergo BPSS clearance, which requires a minimum of 3 years' UK residency and satisfactory referencing.This position is primarily site-based within a test lab environment, therefore onsite working is required – compressed 4 day week available.TPBN1_UKTJ
