Migrant Help have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Finance Operations Manager to join our team! The Finance Operations Manager role: Part of the Finance team, the Finance Operations Manager is an exciting and collaborative role at Migrant Help. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring strong internal controls, regulatory compliance and effective use of funds. The role supports the organisation's missions by ensuring that financial processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with funding and legal requirements. Key responsibilities of our Finance Operations Manager: Overseeing all accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and customer receipts Ensuring accurate posting of transactions in line with fund restrictions (restricted and unrestricted) Managing bank reconciliations, journal entries and general ledger integrity Ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of funds in line with grant agreements – all income and expenditure should be reconciled to the contract / grant Supporting Financial Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis teams with reporting requirements and data capturing Maintaining documentation for audit trails and fund compliance Reviewing financial statements monthly with Financial Reporting Manager, for final output with DDoF and DoF Monitoring cash flow across multiple funding streams and bank accounts, supporting the Head of Finance with cash flow reconciliation and presentation to senior managers The experience and skills you need to become our Finance Operations Manager: Strong understanding of charity accounting principles and fund accounting (restricted and unrestricted, designated funds) Experience overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliation High level of numeracy, attention to detail and accuracy in data processing and reconciliations Strong problem solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues Migrant Help is committed to safeguarding those we provide a service to, applicants will have to undergo strict vetting procedures throughout different stages of the recruitment process therefore: This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check therefore applicants must: Be able to provide documents to show their right to work in the UK (such as Passport, work visa, settled status document, certificate of registration, naturalisation as a British citizen, Biometric Residence Permit etc.) Provide full employment history for the previous 3 years and/or suitable documentation to cover any gaps in employment These are some of the benefits we offer: Our working week is 35 hours per week offering flexibility and work life balance Enhanced family friendly provisions Employees will gain an extra day annual leave per year to a maximum of 39 days, including bank holidays (pro-rata).
