We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, helping them to achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. Your support will be crucial in enabling clients to navigate daily challenges and engage with their communities effectively.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
* Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, fostering trust and respect.
* Support clients in accessing community resources and services that enhance their well-being.
* Document client progress and report any changes in behaviour or condition to the appropriate professionals.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create tailored care plans that meet individual needs.
* Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Experience
* Previous experience in a support or care role is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates who are eager to learn.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their lives.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in various situations.
* Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures is beneficial.
