The role:
Our client, a leading global manufacturer renowned for developing and delivering high-quality products and solutions, is seeking a Senior IT Technician to join their team.

Main Duties of the Senior IT Technician:
* Provide 1st and 2nd line support for hardware, software and network-related issues.
* Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment.
* Monitor system health to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of IT services.
* Contribute to IT initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
* Uphold data security standards and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
* Provide mentorship and technical support to junior technicians and the broader IT support team.
* Administer and troubleshoot backup systems to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
The ideal Senior IT Technician will have the following:
* Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience.
* Background in IT support or systems administration.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA, ITIL Foundation) would be helpful.
* Experience in the manufacturing industry and with SAP ERP is advantageous
Technical Skills required:
* Operating Systems: Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Windows 10/11
* Server Applications: SQL Server
* Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls, routing and switching
* Virtualization & Clustering: Microsoft Hyper-V
* Directory Services: Active Directory, Group Policy
* Email & Collaboration: Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, Teams
* Security Tools: Endpoint protection, MFA
* Backup & Recovery: Veeam, Backup Exec, Windows Backup, cloud-based backup solutions
* Scripting & Automation: PowerShell
* ITSM Tools: ServiceNow
* Hardware: Servers, desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, VoIP systems, CCTV
