About the role
We are seeking to appoint a Course Director to lead and shape our MA Illustration course within our thriving art school. This is a pivotal academic leadership role, central to the development of a strong course identity and student experience.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing the performance, growth, and success of the MA Illustration course
* Leading and coordinating the academic delivery team
* Driving curriculum innovation, enhancement, and review
* Creating a collaborative, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Supporting student progression and success
* Contributing to teaching across postgraduate and possibly undergraduate levels
Qualifications
* Experience of teaching and course leadership in Higher Education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
* A current practice in the expanded field of illustration and/or related fields within visual communication
* An active research profile
* Interests aligned with social innovation, contemporary creative practices, and the integration of digital and traditional techniques
* A commitment to inclusive education, innovation, and reflective pedagogical practice
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to embrace change in a fast-evolving HE landscape
