Wax for Life includes re-waxing and repairs (first introduced in 1921) and Barbour Re-Loved an upcycling circularity initiative. Each year over 70,000 wax garments are sent back to Barbour globally to be repaired, rewaxed or altered.
Position Overview:
We currently have an opportunity for a Forecasting & Stock Planning Analyst to join our Forecasting & Planning team, based at Barbour House, South Shields on a full time basis. This role will be key in ensuring the business has the right amount of stock in the right place and at the right time to meet demand.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Review global forecasts for designated supplier base/product classifications.
* Place buys in line with agreed minimum order quantities, lead times and forecasting timetable.
* Ensure buys placed are split across the four global warehouses in line with individual market demands.
* Working closely with Supply Chain teams to ensure high customer fulfilment.
* Continually monitoring stock availability across the global warehouses and addressing any stock shortages.
* Create and manage departmental working documents.
* Continually review business reports and ensure findings are actioned and communicated to relevant departments.
* Undertake any other reasonable activity, as may be required by senior management.
Skills and Experience:
* Experience working in a related role or educated to a degree level.
* Excellent working knowledge of Excel –experience of creating formulae and pivot tables is essential.
* Great problem-solving skills.
* Competent level of IT packages: Microsoft Office.
* Good communication skills to build strong relationships internally and externally of the department.
* Strong analytical skills.
* High attention to detail is critical.
* Strong organisational and time management ability.
* Comfortable working to deadlines.
* Able to work individually and also as part of a team.
* An interest in and understanding of the Barbour brand.
