What you will be doing As our Sales Trainer, you will design, deliver, and continuously develop structured training programmes that strengthen the capability of our internal Account Managers and Branch Sales teams across Oadby Plastics. Your training will focus on developing excellence in internal sales, helping teams build rapport, understand customer needs, grow accounts, and deliver a consistent, high quality customer experience. You will work closely with new starters, experienced internal sales staff, managers, L&D, and senior leadership to ensure a professional, consistent, and high performing approach to sales development across all branches. In everything you do, you’ll help uphold the company’s mission, vision, and values, supporting the bigger picture of our business. You day to day responsibilities include: - Creating engaging training content, materials, and tools tailored to different learning needs. Delivering engaging, interactive training sessions for internal sales teams and new starters. Creating structured training materials, guides, and support tools aligned with internal sales processes and business objectives. Monitoring trainee progress through agreed frameworks and providing constructive, actionable feedback. Identifying skills gaps within internal sales roles and designing targeted training solutions. Maintaining training records, documentation, and progress reports accurately. Introducing best‑practice sales techniques suitable for internal sales environments (account management, customer retention, objection handling, upselling/cross‑selling, product knowledge). Supporting the integration of account management training into everyday internal sales development. Continuously updating training content to reflect changes in the market, business priorities, or customer expectations. What are we looking for We’re looking for a Sales Trainer with strong sales experience and the ability to support the development of our internal Account Managers and Branch Sales teams. You should be confident delivering structured training, able to adapt your approach to different learners, and comfortable coaching others to improve their skills. Strong communication, organisation, and the ability to give clear, constructive feedback are essential. We’re looking for someone reliable, approachable, and focused on practical improvements that support consistent internal sales performance. To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following: Proven sales track record across new business and account management (internal or external). Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience delivering training in a commercial environment. Familiarity with LMS and CRM platforms. Experience with e‑learning platforms and digital training tools. Ability to coach, motivate, and develop others. A positive, consistent, and professional approach. Strong organisational skills, punctuality, and time management. Effective problem solving skills with a proactive mindset.
