Our long standing and well-respected client based on the outskirts of St Albans are looking for a part-time Finance Administrator to join a close knit and friendly team. 15 hours, 2 days per week – office based, 1 day working from home after probation The Finance Administrator will play an important role in supporting the Financial Controller to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function. This role has a strong focus on purchase ledger and credit control, while also providing general finance administration support. The role requires good attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. A proactive and flexible attitude is essential, with a willingness to get involved wherever needed to support the finance team and wider organisation! What’s in it for you: * Salary: £12,150 (£30k pro rata) based on experience * Hours: 15 hours, 2 days a week, office based – 1 day WFH after probation * Free parking Key Responsibilities: Purchase Ledger * Process supplier invoices accurately and ensure correct coding in XERO * Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries promptly * Prepare and process supplier payment runs in line with agreed terms * Maintain accurate records of supplier accounts. Credit Control * Proactively chase overdue payments and maintain records of customer communication * Build positive working relationships with customers to encourage timely payments * Escalate problem debts to the Financial Controller where required Finance Administration * Assist with maintaining the general ledger in XERO * Support the preparation of month-end reconciliations under the guidance of the Financial Controller * Help with monitoring cash flow by maintaining up-to-date records of receipts and payment * Provide administrative support for payroll processing (e.g. collecting timesheets, checking data * Assist in preparing routine reports for the Financial Controller and Commercial Directo * File, organise, and maintain financial records and documentation * Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as required. What the client is looking for: * Similar finance admin experience to include purchase ledger and credit control * Excel knowledge * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Highly detail orientated and organised. * Ability to manage workload and reprioritise to meet deadlines.
