About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing function within the Human Resources and Organisational Development Division of Lambeth. You will support our people through transformational change, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring our OD and Learning initiatives are impactful and ambitious.
The Strategic Organisational Development Partner will be vital in fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture, leading strategic projects across HROD. Working with Strategic HR Partners, you will provide leadership in workforce planning and organisational culture, ensuring Lambeth’s workforce can adapt to meet organisational goals. Your expertise in Organisational Development will guide change management, employee engagement, performance management, capability development, and strategic workforce planning.
You will collaborate closely with the organisation’s Equity and Justice team to embed anti-racist and anti-discriminatory practices across the council. You will contribute to initiatives aligned with the One Lambeth Culture Change priorities and corporate objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving transformational organisational change to deliver excellent services to residents while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Candidate Requirements:
* Understanding of organisational development practices and culture change.
* Experience working strategically within a complex public sector environment.
* Proven ability to develop employee engagement programmes.
* Experience designing OD interventions to improve organisational performance and facilitate change.
* Ability to influence and collaborate with managers, elected members, trade unions, employee groups, and external partners.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
