About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Buffets Department in Skegness!
In this exciting role, you will report directly to the Kitchen Manager and play a crucial part in running our bustling kitchen. You’ll lead a fantastic team of chefs, stepping up in the Kitchen Manager's absence and ensuring that every dish served is a masterpiece.
Your passion for delivering exceptional experiences will shine as you monitor performance and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement. With your strong leadership skills, you’ll conduct daily briefings, manage stock control, and ensure that every plate is presented beautifully.
Financial performance is key, and you’ll be responsible for delivering food cost budgets through effective menu planning and cooking to our high standards. You’ll also uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll inspire your team through training schedules and performance development plans, ensuring they deliver an unforgettable experience to our guests every time. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and develop a talented team serving our half-board dining guests.
Key Responsibilities
We’re seeking individuals with experience in a similar role, especially in high-volume environments. Our buffet department can host up to 3,000 guests per service, so being able to thrive in a fast-paced setting is essential!
* Demonstrate hard work and determination, always looking for better ways to meet our brand standards.
* Bring energy and enthusiasm to the team, building strong relationships with leaders and team members.
* Hold a Level 3 Food Safety qualification and confidently lead a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen.
* Manage margins, control costs, and ensure all health, safety, and hygiene protocols are followed.

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
