About the role We have been awarded a major multi-million-pound design and build framework agreement with Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) as part of NWGs Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8) £3.6 billion investment programme. As we embark on this exciting 12-year design and build framework, we are looking for a Quality and Compliance Advisor to join our HSEQ function. This role will report to the Lead HSEQ Advisor, supporting the Northumbrian Water Team in implementing health, safety, and environmental strategies at the local level while ensuring alignment with departmental and group-wide objectives. This is a full-time permanent role and will be based from our Durham office along with working from home on a hybrid basis. What will your day look like Conducting supplier audits to ensure the quality and competence of the subcontracted labour and materials we receive. Setting up an inspection regime for the operational teams that is easy to follow and ensure good quality control Providing training to staff on quality processes and maintaining detailed inspection records. Collaborating with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that they meet quality standards Recording inspection results, analysing data to identify trends or patterns, and creating reports on quality metrics. Documenting non-conforming products, initiating corrective actions, and communicating issues to relevant personnel. Ensuring compliance with company quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment to ensure accuracy. Investigating the root cause of quality problems and proposing solutions to prevent recurrence. About you As the Quality and Compliance Advisor, you will have strong research and analytical skills, great attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills and experience in a similar Quality Management role. You will be key to fostering a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental performance across all operations. Experience working in the Utilities, Civils or Construction sector would be advantageous but it isnt an essential requirement, and we will consider applicants from all backgrounds.
