As Sous Chef, you'll be the Head Chef's go-to for support, leading and engaging the kitchen team to deliver 14 great shifts week in, week out.
About the Role
* You are probably an existing Sous Chef, or perhaps a Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager looking to take the next step in your career.
* Leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely. You'll be detail-oriented, overseeing stocks, Health & Safety, Hygiene, and managing the pass to ensure our food is on-spec and on-time, upholding 5 kitchen standards. Experience with fresh ingredients and good kitchen skills (food prep, cleaning, knife skills, hygiene) are essential.
* Leading from the front with a strong work ethic, actively contributing to high standards of kitchen and food quality within a high-performing team.
* Driven and relentless in overcoming challenges.
* Familiar with KPIs and capable of making decisions in the absence of the Head Chef, considering labour, stock, food safety, and other factors.
* Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders and build rapport with Ops Chefs and Managers.
* Knowledge of rota scheduling, sales and labour forecasting, reporting, recruitment, and HR processes.
* Proven success in training and recruiting kitchen staff including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs, and Sous Chefs.
