The Role As Head of Design & Technology, you will provide strategic leadership across the DT curriculum, overseeing provision at KS3 & KS4, with potential KS5 depending on specialism (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering). Your responsibilities will include: Leading the vision and development of the DT department Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment Overseeing curriculum planning, schemes of work, and quality assurance Monitoring student progress and implementing intervention strategies Line managing and developing departmental staff Ensuring health & safety compliance within practical environments Promoting enrichment opportunities such as competitions, exhibitions, and STEM initiatives You will maintain a teaching timetable and model outstanding classroom practice.
