Your newpany are an MGA that specialise in connecting underwriters of specialty insurance risk with risk capital providers. They were founded by a group of longtime insurance industry executives and technology experts who shared a vision of rebuilding the way risk is exchanged. They do business across more than 20 different countries and 250 specialty products. Due to expansion within their UK and Europe Operations team, a permanent position for an Operations Manager has arisen.
Your new role
Your new role working as an Operations Manager means you will work alongside the Sales & Distribution, Technology, Finance and Outsourced Operations teams to manage data onboarding, premium and cash management of speciality underwriters within Europe and UK. Duties will include managing the operational due diligence and onboarding procedures, coordinating and managing Bank accounts, systems and regulatory reports and liaise with the Tax department. You will manage reconciliation between Written & Paid Bordereaux against cash received, manage, and oversee the transition to Outsourced Operations team DUA & Credit Control teams. Further duties will also include managing operational procedures and adherence to controls, managing bordereaux and query resolution KPIs, providing Operations Health reports, being a point of escalation for the Credit Controllers on difficult to collect cashes and ensuring targets for debt are met whilst working closely with senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience as an Operations Manager handling Property, Liability and Specialty Insurance will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to aplish tasks with minimal supervision and have excellentmunication skills. You will also have solid technical knowledge of creating and processing Bordereaux, experience managing MGA Operations, excellent time management and attention to detail and proficiency in all Microsoft products. Excellent English language is required, and European languages are advantageous.
