Job Description:
At Tesco, people are at the heart of everything we do, and this couldn’t be truer for our pharmacy team.
As a Pharmacy Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on others’ lives. Whether you’re supporting pharmacists, providing top-notch services to customers, or fostering community spirit, your work will touch the lives of hundreds of people every day.
We want to help you be at your best, whatever life brings. That's why we’ll offer you uninterrupted "me time" away from the pharmacy to relax, refuel, and recharge. Aside from these healthy breaks, you’ll also have bags of career choice with leadership training plans from industry experts, so there’s every chance to progress. And if you’ve got an idea for how we can improve things, we’ll make sure you’re given the chance to be heard.
It all adds up to a role where you can do good, and feel good, while developing your career. Let’s make every day a little better.
You will be responsible for:
* Supply prescriptions, deliver a range of NHS and Private services, and provide healthcare advice to customers.
* Play an active role in our charities support program, giving advice to people in the community at risk of or living with cancer, heart disease, and diabetes.
* Lead, train, and develop colleagues.
* Use a planning system to ensure pharmacy staff are available to meet our customers’ needs.
You will need:
* A Pharmacy Degree.
* Passion for leading and empowering a team.
* Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and willingness to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme – Tesco will assist with this process.
* Completion of a DBS check (organized by Tesco) before employment.
Note: Pharmacists working for Tesco will have to complete a DBS check prior to starting employment.
What's in it for you:
* Our Pharmacies are led and supported exclusively by Pharmacists, aiming to deliver the best service to our communities.
* Secure and flexible work environment with excellent benefits, including:
o GPhC fee covered annually.
o Holiday starting at 25 days plus a personal day and Bank holidays.
o Buy holiday salary sacrifice scheme.
o Welcome Bonus up to £6000.
o Savings of up to £2,000 annually on Tesco purchases.
o Annual bonus up to 20% of salary.
o Contributory pension scheme.
o 26 weeks full pay maternity and adoption leave after 1 year’s service, followed by statutory maternity/adoption pay, and 4 weeks fully paid paternity leave.
o Flexible working requests from day one.
o Exclusive pharmacy training programs with Diabetes UK, Cancer Research UK, and British Heart Foundation.
o Structured Pharmacy Leadership training.
o Colleague discounts on everyday purchases.
o Support for UK health and social care visa applications.
o Access to diverse colleague networks.
