Quality Engineer Role
We are offering a position for an experienced Quality Engineer within our world-class manufacturing business. The role focuses on maintaining and improving product quality and enhancing existing systems.

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to drive the effectiveness of our IATF 16949 quality system and promote engineering excellence across operations.
Location: Commutable from Stone, Cheddleton, Leek, Biddulph, Stoke on Trent, Uttoxeter, Congleton, Sandbach, Nantwich, and Market Drayton.

Responsibilities
* Maintain the IATF 16949 Quality System, ensuring department compliance.
* Plan and conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions for non-conformities.
* Lead quality involvement in engineering change processes, including APQP requirements.
* Coordinate annual product testing with external laboratories, ensuring standards are met.
* Manage non-conformances, including material segregation and documentation.
* Represent quality in APQP activities for new projects.
* Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D).
* Control calibration processes for measurement and inspection equipment.
* Monitor internal scrap trends.
* Manage supplier Certificates of Conformity and maintain quality documentation.
* Collect and analyze quality data.
* Maintain and update customer portals with relevant documentation, audit results, and project updates.
Requirements
* Relevant experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in manufacturing or engineering.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong ownership and task completion skills.
* Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office 365; experience with SAP quality modules is a plus.
* Skilled in problem-solving tools like 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone analysis.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, Standardized Work, Poka-Yoke, JIT).
* Understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
* Six Sigma Green Belt or higher training is desirable.
