Overview
Responsibilities
* Independently execute Electrical Field Service activities during overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting. Able to work independently and alongside mechanical service engineers/sub-contractors/shipyard labour on location.
* Prepare a list of tools and materials needed for workload.
* Carry out site surveys and detail work specifications. Liaise closely with the Service Superintendent and the Service Manager to ensure service deadlines are met.
* Ensure that all timesheets (signed by customer) and expense sheets are submitted to the Service Administrator weekly.
* On completion of jobs, ensure that all service reports are of a high standard and submitted within 48 hours of completing the job.
* Work with generator controls and power management systems.
* Liaise with customers on site handling enquiries and technical queries.
* Liaise closely with the General Manager and customer to ensure service deadlines are met.
* Act as mentor/trainer to develop mechanical employees in basic electrical skills.
* Play a leading role in ensuring that all work carried out is to ISO 9001/2000 standard.
* Ensure that all activities on-site are carried out in accordance with the site safety rules and in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety obligations.
* Adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude when requested to assist Company staff with ad-hoc duties as required.
* Carry out all tasks to maximise internal and external satisfaction within the employee\'s control.
* Undertake additional duties within capabilities as needed due to changing circumstances, without necessarily changing the general character or level of responsibility.
Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Power/Mechanical/Marine Engineering with good academic record.
* Proficient with engine controls and develop gas tuning capabilities.
* Frequent travel required; hold a valid driving license and be flexible regarding work locations.
* Good communication skills.
* A good team player.
* Workplace ICT equipment & applications experience.
* Fluency in written and spoken English.
