Location: Solidcor Manufacturing Facility, Chesterfield (On Site)
Salary: Competitive Salary + package (DOE)

IMPACT EVOLVE are proud to be supporting Solidcor in their search for a Senior Production Manager, a pivotal leadership role at the operational heart of the factory.
Solidcor is an ambitious, fast-growing UK fire door manufacturer transforming social housing compliance. Founded in 2019 to raise safety standards in the wake of Grenfell, Solidcor has scaled rapidly thanks to their unique "10-day lead" methodology, the fastest production turnaround in the industry, backed by the broadest certified range of fire doors on the market.
This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role, accountable for the daily running of Solidcor's entire production flow, from machine shop and sub-assemblies through to final assembly and dispatch.
You'll set the pace on the shop floor, lead and develop a motivated team, and ensure the right people, processes, and materials are in place to keep Solidcor's 10-day delivery promise on track
Key Responsibilities
* Factory Leadership - Oversee daily operations across slab line, frame line, glazing, sub-assembly, and final assembly; resolve bottlenecks and downtime in real time.
* People Management - Lead production operators and team leaders across shifts; set expectations, deliver training, and build a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvement.
* Production Control - Ensure full compliance to routing, technical specs, SOPs, and QC checks; minimise rework, scrap, and non-conformance.
* Health & Safety - Enforce strict H&S compliance, training, PPE, and incident reporting; own risk reduction on the factory floor.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration - Align with Planning, Procurement, and Materials Control to ensure stock availability and achievable lead times.
* Continuous Improvement - Drive efficiency in layout, line balancing, and workstation setup; prepare Solidcor for scale-up, automation, and increased volume.
What We're Looking For
* Proven Production Manager experience in manufacturing or joinery.
* Knowledge of production scheduling, machine shop operations, and factory control.
* Strong people leadership skills - managing performance, training, and engagement.
* Comfortable interpreting technical drawings and work orders.
* ERP-driven production environment experience (Unleashed or similar).
* Committed to safety, quality, and reliability.
Mindset & Behaviours
* Calm, decisive, and highly visible leader.
* Sets high standards and holds others accountable.
* Believes in developing and empowering people.
* Pragmatic problem solver, balancing pace with control.
* Obsessed with production flow and consistency.
In return, Solidcor is offering a competitive salary and benefits package, the opportunity to lead at the very heart of factory operations, long-term career growth in line with rapid expansion, and the chance to play a pivotal leadership role in a purpose-driven company.
Solidcor and IMPACT EVOLVE are committed to fairness, equity & inclusion. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and will provide adjustments as needed throughout the process.
