Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as a Completions Lead on the Hinkley Point C Project and you'll be a big part of fascinating, complex, varied, and meaningful work. About Hinkley Point C The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy. Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan. What you'll be doing As a/an Completions Lead you will have the following accountabilities: Provide and demonstrate positive HSE leadership and a strong Nuclear Safety Culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. Support the Building lead in the day-to-day reporting and prioritisation of system and requirements. Manage the Commissioning need dates associated to the area/building/area and ensure reports are produced and socialised with the Construction teamA Manage interfaces and collaborate with commissioning team and MEH Alliance Program team on all system needs. Interface with Database team to ensure specific system/ data is correct and progressing. Conduct site walkdowns and ensure any available completions activities are captured and workpacks are completed. Ensure all construction activities are executed in line with relevant specifications. Ensure all access strategies have been developed for system and walkdowns Be aware of any project change within the specified Systems/CTPs ensuring that the project change process is adhered to. This will include construction documentation as well as scope change aspects of the contract in coordination with the Building Lead. Who we're looking for Relevant degree in construction or engineering related discipline, preferably Mechanical, Electrical or HVAC. or HNC in relevant construction or engineering discipline with extensive experience working in this type of role or Experience in a Completions IOSH Managing Safely preferred. CCNSG Safety Passport Capable of obtaining security clearance of BPSS or higher. Professional accreditation desirable.
