At Tarmac,
we are on the lookout for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team into join our team in Maltby.
What you'll be doing
In the role of Maintenance Fitter you will be responsible for:
1. Day-to-day maintenance activities which include planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
2. Meeting statutory and SHE standards as a minimum
3. Working on a variety of plant throughout the block manufacturing site as directed on a planned or reactive basis
4. Recording all work on the site CMMS system
5. This is a dynamic role, mostly self-motivated and self-supervised with good communication skills
**Please note this role operates a rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm and any prospective candidates must be willing to work these shifts**
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Maintenance Fitter you will have experience of:
6. IOSH training will be an advantage
7. Experience of maintaining/replacement of mechanical parts including bearings, shafts, rollers.
8. Skilled with hand tools, bearing presses and fitting tools
9. Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
10. Experience in maintaining and repair of mechanical equipment
11. Experience in welding and/or pipefitting would be advantageous
