The opportunity:

Become a member of the in-house UK Corporate Governance & Company Secretariat Team, providing company secretarial support to the team and annual processes, in support of the wider business or team effectiveness. The team comprises four Company Secretaries and one Team Administrator working alongside the UK Legal team.


What will you be doing?

* Support the Senior Company Secretaries in managing their portfolio of regulated and non-regulated Boards and Committees.
* Review and manage constitutional documentation, prepare annual agendas, ensure papers are of high quality, and observe in-house principles and Board Intelligence.
* Lead annual processes to support the operations of the team and wider business.
* Identify, assess, and lead the implementation of regulatory and legislative changes.
* Ensure best practice corporate governance principles are implemented in all activities.
* Support the team’s delivery of Corporate Governance projects.
* Identify ways to improve efficiency and delivery of the department through key infrastructure.
* Support, manage, and oversee the use of Board Intelligence by the team and wider business.


What are we looking for?

Proven Company Secretary experience or an equivalent professional qualification and experience.

* Educated to degree level.
* Knowledge and experience of company secretarial work.
* Knowledge of legislation and its practical application.
* Able to manage relationships at all levels to influence governance outcomes.
* Flexible, adaptable, organized, pragmatic, and able to manage shifting priorities.
