About The Role
In this vital role, you’ll support the First Line Technical Compliance Manager in ensuring effective management of compliance across RAC’s operations and partnerships. You’ll help ensure regulatory responsibilities are met while managing regulatory change and projects, including Consumer Duty obligations.
This role has wide reach—touching all products, touchpoints, and channels, both internal and partner-led. You’ll coordinate compliance activities, manage documentation, and keep customers at the core of decisions.
What You Will Do
1. Maintain a central documentation store tracking all compliance actions.
2. Support oversight across sales, service, renewals, complaints, and contact channels including call centres, web, and chat.
3. Collaborate with business units and partners to embed new regulatory requirements, including FCA’s Consumer Duty.
4. Document and maintain the governance framework, ensuring pricing and propositions are compliant and customer-focused.
5. Attend governance committees, preparing and managing compliance MI and documentation.
6. Track and manage actions from audits, monitoring, and reviews.
7. Oversee and advise on the complaints process, ensuring robust root cause analysis and fair outcomes.
8. Manage the customer documentation lifecycle, from approval to review.
9. Oversee customer journeys and product pipelines to meet regulatory standards.
10. Stay updated on market trends, competitor analysis, and emerging regulation.
What You Bring
1. Proven experience in compliance, preferably within financial services or insurance.
2. Strong knowledge of insurance regulations, including Value Measures, Fair Value, Vulnerable Customers, and Pricing Practices.
3. Deep understanding of personal lines products and operating models.
4. Ability to deliver under pressure in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Skills & Attributes
1. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
2. Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
3. Proactive, creative, and pragmatic problem solver.
4. Skilled in project management and documentation control.
5. Commercially minded with product knowledge and focus on customer outcomes.
Qualifications
Compliance or general insurance qualifications (e.g., CII) are desirable but not essential. We value experience, motivation, and a growth mindset.
