As we continue to expand and strengthen our provision, we are excited to introduce a new opportunity for an experienced Head of Compliance and Governance to join our senior leadership team.
About the Role
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing governance, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance across our care services. You'll lead a talented compliance team, work collaboratively with operational leaders, and ensure high standards are maintained as we continue to develop new and existing services.
You'll be the driving force behind embedding good governance, fostering a culture of accountability, and ensuring every service delivers exceptional care.
Responsibilities
* Lead internal audits and ensure compliance with CQC/Ofsted, legislation, and internal policy
* Develop effective systems to support service leaders in delivering high-quality care
* Monitor compliance performance, tackle underperformance, and provide strategic improvement plans
* Lead our GDPR implementation and manage safeguarding best practice
* Support expansion plans, from planning through to registration and operational readiness
* Oversee governance systems that track all audit outcomes and service quality metrics
* Provide high-level reports and support to the Board and Senior Leadership Teams
About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
* A strong background in social care compliance (adults' and children's services)
* Proven leadership in regulatory, governance or care quality roles (minimum 3 years in senior management)
* In-depth knowledge of CQC/Ofsted frameworks and safeguarding requirements
* Outstanding communication, project management and analytical skills
* The ability to build relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and inspire trust
* Experience supporting new service growth and implementing robust governance systems

Other Requirements
Car driver with access to own vehicle.
Required to travel between sites.
The post holder will need to be able to travel throughout all areas in which Bright Futures operates,
Willingness to work flexibly depending on the needs of the organisation. There is a requirement for flexibility in order to continually manage and prioritise complex multiple projects and tasks within tight timescales against completing demands and external influences.
