Job Summary
West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service’s Occupational Health Unit is recruiting an Administrator/Receptionist. You’ll be the first point of contact, providing professional administrative support and a welcoming presence for staff attending the unit.
This role is based at: Fire Service Headquarters, Birkenshaw, BD11 2DY.

Main Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate medical records and support data entry across the OHU systems.
• Coordinate clinical activity by booking appointments, processing referrals, and preparing reports.
• Carry out financial tasks, including ordering supplies and processing payments.
• Provide reception cover and general administrative support to keep the unit running smoothly.
• Help improve efficiency by reviewing and streamlining administrative processes.
Essential Skills
• Strong admin skills, including handling enquiries, managing data, and arranging appointments.
• Confident with basic finance tasks such as purchase orders, invoices, and stock ordering.
• Good IT, communication and organisational skills, with accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to prioritise work.
