Overview
Oakwood Motor Company is a finance first used car dealership business based in Bury, with around 400 vehicles in stock and a strong focus on growth through better systems, stronger conversion, and more effective marketing.
Alongside Oakwood, we are also building connected automotive platforms in car finance and vehicle acquisition. This role sits inside a real operating business with real ad spend, real commercial accountability, and the opportunity to help shape a more disciplined growth engine across multiple brands.
Role Description
We are looking for a Growth and Performance Marketing Manager to help build and run the marketing engine for Oakwood Motor Company and a connected automotive platform spanning used car retail, car finance, and vehicle acquisition.
This is not a social media admin role and it is not a brand only role.
We need someone commercially sharp who can bring structure, ownership, and growth thinking across paid media, websites, landing pages, content, reporting, tracking, and conversion.
You will work directly with the owner and help turn marketing into a properly managed growth system.
The role includes responsibility for:
* paid media and growth planning
* landing page and website conversion improvement
* reporting, attribution, and KPI tracking
* creative and content pipeline coordination
* testing priorities and performance reviews
* management of specialist external support
* building clearer structure across the wider platform
This is a hands on role with strong in person involvement in the business. It is primarily office based, with occasional flexibility to work from home when it makes sense for focused planning or reporting.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with strong experience in:
* growth marketing
* performance marketing
* conversion focused marketing
* reporting and attribution
* working with agencies, freelancers, or specialist contractors
* turning marketing spend into measurable commercial outcomes
It is a strong advantage if you have experience in:
* automotive
* multi brand businesses
* landing page and funnel optimisation
* founder led or fast moving businesses
This role is not right for someone who is mainly:
* a social media manager
* a content planner without performance accountability
* a brand marketer without commercial depth
* an agency account manager who prefers distance from execution
